Description

Cutek Extreme Wood Protection Oil – 5 Gallon

Cutek Extreme is a professional-grade wood protection oil designed to protect decks, fences, siding, and exterior wood structures from moisture damage. Unlike traditional film-forming stains, Cutek Extreme penetrates deep into the wood to help minimize warping, cupping, and splitting while allowing the wood to breathe naturally.

This 5 gallon pail is ideal for larger deck projects, contractors, and professional applications where greater coverage is required.

Cutek Extreme is supplied as a clear oil. Optional Cutek Colourtones (sold separately) can be added to enhance the natural colour of the wood and slow the natural silvering that occurs from UV exposure.

Available for pickup or delivery in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and Brampton.

Key Benefits

  • Deep penetrating wood protection oil
  • Helps minimize warping, cupping and splitting
  • Will not peel, crack or blister like traditional stains
  • Easy maintenance — clean and recoat without sanding
  • Suitable for decks, fences, siding, pergolas and outdoor structures
  • Optional colourtones available to enhance wood appearance
  • Professional size pail ideal for larger projects

Where to Use Cutek Extreme

Cutek Extreme is suitable for many exterior wood applications including:

  • wood decks and deck boards
  • fences and gates
  • pergolas and outdoor structures
  • exterior wood siding and cladding
  • outdoor furniture
  • timber beams and posts

Cutek Extreme works on many wood species including cedar, pressure-treated lumber, pine, hardwood decking and exotic species such as ipe and cumaru.

Natural Silvering

When used without colourtone, Cutek Extreme allows wood to gradually develop a natural silver patina when exposed to sunlight.

If you prefer to maintain the original wood colour, add a Cutek Colourtone to provide UV protection and slow the silvering process while enhancing the natural character of the wood.

Surface Preparation

Wood must be clean and dry before application.

  • For best results:
  • Remove dirt, grease and contaminants
  • Clean weathered wood using Cutek Wood Reviver
  • Rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer (under 750 PSI)
  • Allow wood to fully dry before applying oil

Previously coated wood may require stripping before applying Cutek Extreme.

Application

Cutek Extreme can be applied using:

  • brush
  • roller
  • sprayer
  • stain pad or fabric applicator

For best performance:

  1. Apply one generous coat to all wood surfaces.
  2. Allow the oil to fully penetrate the wood.
  3. Apply a second coat to the top surface once the first coat has dried.

Posts, beams and thicker lumber may require additional coats because Cutek Extreme works cumulatively within the wood fibres.

Coverage

Typical coverage for Cutek Extreme 5 gallon pail:

  • New smooth wood: 2000–4000 sq ft
  • Restored wood: 1250–1750 sq ft
  • Rough sawn wood: 1250–1750 sq ft
  • Shingles and shakes: 400–1000 sq ft

Coverage varies depending on wood species, porosity and surface condition.

Maintenance

Cutek Extreme does not peel or crack like traditional stains.

Over time the oil gradually fades instead of forming a failing surface film. Maintenance is simple — clean the surface and apply another coat when needed.

Most decks require re-application every 6 months to 2 years depending on weather exposure and traffic.

FAQ

Does Cutek Extreme peel like traditional deck stains?

No. Because it penetrates into the wood fibres instead of forming a surface film, it will not peel or crack.

Can Cutek Extreme be used on pressure treated wood?

Yes. Cutek Extreme works well on ACQ and CCA treated lumber.

Do I need to add colourtone?

Colourtone is optional but recommended if you want to maintain the natural colour of the wood and slow UV silvering.
