Newly milled wood often contains mill glaze, an invisible layer created during the manufacturing process that can prevent coatings from penetrating properly.

CUTEK® Wood Reviver removes this glaze and prepares newly machined wood so oil finishes can penetrate evenly into the grain.

How to Restore Gray Deck Wood

Exterior wood naturally turns gray when exposed to sunlight and weather. This happens because UV radiation breaks down the wood fibers on the surface.

Using Cutek Wood Reviver removes the gray oxidized layer and restores the wood’s natural color. Once the wood is revived and cleaned, applying Cutek Extreme Wood Oil helps protect the wood from future weathering.

How to Apply

Step 1 – Prepare

Before starting, always test CUTEK® Wood Reviver on a small test area.

Different wood species and conditions may require different dilution ratios and working times.

Protect surrounding vegetation and adjacent surfaces before application.

Step 2 – Apply Reviver

Wet the wood surface before applying.

Apply CUTEK® Wood Reviver liberally using:

• brush
• roller
• broom
• low-pressure garden sprayer

The product can be used diluted or undiluted depending on the severity of staining.

Allow the reviver to remain on the wood for 1 hour to 24 hours depending on the level of weathering.

Stubborn stains may require light scrubbing with a stiff fiber brush.

Step 3 – Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse thoroughly using a pressure washer set to approximately 50 bar (750 psi) with a fan tip.

⚠ A garden hose is not sufficient for removal.

Use caution to avoid damaging wood fibers.

Do not use turbojet nozzles on wood surfaces.

Rinse from the highest point downward using long strokes in the direction of the wood grain.

The longer the reviver remains on the wood, the longer the rinse time may be required.

After Restoration

Some wood surfaces may develop a raised grain effect after pressure washing.

Light sanding or poly pad scrubbing may be required to smooth the surface before applying oil.

Once the wood is dry, apply Cutek Extreme Wood Oil for long-term protection.

Clean-Up

Equipment may be cleaned using water.

Dispose of wash water according to local environmental regulations.
